We stayed in one of the front rooms and it was wonderful. It was big with a window looking out to the coastal path. The view itself is a bit cluttered with wires/traffic signs but that all melts away with the sound of the waves crashing. The bathroom was wheelchair accessible, so also very large with a walk-in shower. We only used the shared kitchen to give our water bottles a proper wash, but it seemed to be well-stocked and workable. The location was perfect right on the coastal walk. Cutting through town to the port side took just a few minutes so nowhere was too far. There is some street parking right behind the hostel which we never had a problem finding a spot. If I ever return, this is the first place I will check.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

The hostel had individual lockers which gave me peace of mind for the safety of my belongings. The sheets provided were clean and the towel was of good quality. the curtains on the bunk beds provided some privacy and helped block out the light.
There was only one bathroom for each gender, which made it inconvenient to use when the hostel was crowded. the bed I stayed in was squeaky and climbing up to the higher bunk required some acrobatic skills.

The value for money at Muxia Mare was excellent, with clean and spacious rooms offering a lovely view of the ocean. The location was perfect, with everything I needed within a short walk, and I was treated exceptionally well by the friendly staff.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better was more variety in the choices available.

I recently stayed at Muxia Mare for two days and it was absolutely wonderful. The owners, Pepe and his family, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided me with a map and pointed out important places to visit. The location of the hostel, right on the coast, was fantastic and gave me a beautiful view of the waterfront from my private room. The whole place was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen, although small, was well-equipped and even had a drinks machine in the dining area. I also appreciated the small seating area outside where I could relax and enjoy the coastal breeze. I had a great experience at Muxia Mare and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and friendly place to stay.
I do recommend this hotel.

The spacious bathroom had the most comfortable shower I've had in Spain. I appreciated the provided bed sheets and towels. The helpful staff gave me a map and directions to explore the village. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, situated right by the ocean with stunning views from the rooms. It's also conveniently located near the Camino de Santiago path, making it a great choice for pilgrims. the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. the cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch.
That the beds were squeaky and getting to the top bunk was a bit challenging due to the low bar for the curtain. the limited number of bathrooms with showers for the entire hotel was also a bit inconvenient.

Located right by the ocean, you can enjoy stunning views of the waves crashing on the shore from your bunk bed. Within a minute's walk, you'll find numerous restaurants and grocery stores, making it convenient for dining and shopping. the privacy curtains on the bunks provide a sense of personal space, almost like having your own little room.
The door opening directly into the albergue room can be a bit awkward, especially if there are other guests staying there.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They provided excellent service and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location was also a major plus, with beautiful views of the ocean and easy access to nearby amenities. The fact that they offered free fruit and treats was a nice touch and added to our overall enjoyment of the stay.
There were a few negative aspects to our experience. the kitchen had a small trash can that was only emptied in the mornings, resulting in a buildup of garbage throughout the day.
